We're Upgrading To Serve You Better

We're upgrading our banking system October 30 – November 2 to provide an even better member experience. Some services may be affected by the upgrade. Please read the FAQs below for details and check back for updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Service outage dates and times
Starting at 12:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 30 and going through Monday, Nov. 2 , you will not be able to access your accounts until the upgrade is complete. You will be able to use your NBCU Visa® credit and debit cards for purchases and withdrawals during the outage. Some retrictions may apply.

We’re working hard to minimize any disruption to your service during the transition and will communicate any outage that may affect you.

We greatly appreciate your patience as we work together to improve our digital banking services and to make our credit union stronger.

Services impacted during the upgrade
The following services will not be available until the system upgrade is complete Monday, Nov. 2, 2026:

  • Our digital banking app
  • Bill Pay
  • Mobile check deposit
  • Co-Op Shared Branch access
  • Instant transfers through peer-to-peer payment apps like Venmo and CashApp.

However, you should be able to use your Visa® credit and debit cards for purchases and withdrawals. Some restrictions may apply.

Can I use my credit and debit cards during the outage?

You will be able to use your NBCU Visa® credit and debit cards for purchases and withdrawals during the outage. Some restrictions may apply.

New Alero Financial debit cards will be automatically ordered and may arrive before November 2, but it cannot be used until Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. 

Your NBCU credit cards will not change. For servicing including checking your available balance, making a payment, visit ezcardinfo.com.

How to prepare for the outage
Complete transfers and payments before 12:00 p.m. PT Friday, Oct. 30 and make a note of your balances as there is no access to your digital banking app until services are restored Monday, Nov. 2. During the outage, you will be able to use your Visa® credit and debit cards for purchases and withdrawals. Some restrictions may apply.

What happens after the upgrade?
On Monday, Nov. 2, we will work diligently to restore services including our digital banking app, Bill Pay, Zelle®, and NBCU branches and Co-Op Shared Branch services as quickly as possible. We will update this page with the most up-to-date information during the outage.  We do anticipate higher than normal call times as we work through restoring services on Monday, Nov. 2. 

How to get help
Our team is ready to help you work through alternative options to help you manage your finances during this transition. You can reach the Alero Financial Member Services team by calling 1-800-359-1939 during the hours of:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. CT
  • Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. CT
  • Saturday: 7:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CT
  • Sunday: Closed

Will my digital banking log in change?
Yes. After services are restored on Monday, Nov. 2, you will need to register as a new user the first time you log in to our new digital banking platform.

If you log in from a desktop or laptop computer, your current login page will automatically direct you to the new platform. You can also download our new digital banking app from your device's app store. Whether you use a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer, you'll enjoy the same convenient account access experience.

To register as a new user on or after Monday, Nov. 2:

  1. Choose "new user/register" from the main login area
  2. Accept the disclosure by selecting "I agree" and then click continue
  3. Confirm your identity: Add your Social Security number, date of birth, and email
  4. Verify your identity by choosing to receive a one-time code by text or voice call
  5. Enter the 6-digit verification code
  6. Create a unique, alphanumeric username between 8 and 40 characters in length
  7. Create a password of at least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter and one number 
  8. Enter the system and customize your settings!

Will my account numbers change?
Your savings and loan accounts will be assigned new account numbers to make them easier to identify and reference. Your checking account number will remain the same and will not change. Because of this, you can continue using your current checks. If you are not sure what your checking account number is, you can find it on the bottom of your checks or contact us for assistance.

Will my remote deposit capture limits change?Yes. Beginning November 2, 2026, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) limits will change as part of the upgrade.

Current NBCU limits:

  • $100,000 per item
  • $100,000 per day
  • $500,000 per rolling 30 days

New limits beginning November 2:

  • $20,000 per item
  • $20,000 per day
  • $20,000 per rolling 30 days
